I am so excited to be coming back to camp hope for my third summer in a row. As it is getting closer I am reminded of a little story that I would really like to share with you. I began to take for granted my salvation and the fact that no matter what I did God would forgive me and love me the same.
I have never experienced anything remotely like (this) and will never forget the magical week I spent in the NC mountains=life changing. Not only did we help and touch numerous people, but they helped and touched us in return
Our group had a great time. All of them are wanting to come back next year. Thursday night was huge for us. Since I have been here, our group has not been the most affectionate one. I have been preaching and praying for them to have real, gospel community for years.
First of all, a big Thank You. Both my grand kids had a fantastic time. What a change it has made on both of them. CJ wants to know if he can come back next year and stay both weeks.
Hope you have a good session next week, our thoughts and prayers will be with you.
On behalf of our church, we want to thank you for the wonderful mission trip experience. We gave our "report" to our congregation yesterday, and it was received with great encouragement. Most of our folks are already talking about next year.
We learned a great deal and are humbled by this incredible mission that GOD is doing a great and amazing things in Haywood County.
It was the most testing and yet the most rewarding trip for us, and we have done mission trips all over the world.
Two weeks ago, I attended the Carolina Mountain Mission with our middle and high school groups. It was a great spiritual experience that I believe brought everyone closer to the Lord as well as building excitement in service to Him.
This past week I went on a missions trip to Canton North Carolina. I’ve been twice before and each time I come back full and renewed and with pockets full of lessons.
This time the main lesson I learned was that I am not supposed to hold back. I am supposed to give it my all for Jesus. Not only that, but I am called to do it wholeheartedly.
Our week at Carolina Mountain Mission (CM2) was the first time at the mission, and the first time in a long while that our church has participated in a summer missions project. We wanted to minister with an organization that would provide a wide variety of ministry opportunities, a wide variety of skill levels for our members, and an opportunity grow deeper in our walk with the Lord.
